Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and Dragon Are On Stage!

Shrek posterIt’s “Shrek, Jr. The Musical” weekend at The Soo Theatre Project!  Yesterday at 2 pm was the last performance, and after the fabulous show, you will definitely want to see future productions directed by Dottie Case. Come out to support these student actresses and actors.

The elementary student actors and actresses have been prepping during a week camp while the middle and high schoolers have been preparing for weeks now as part of the Stars Youth Theatre Group camps, which occur every summer at The Soo Theatre Project.

STP has multiple students who’ve “graduated” from its programs. At one time, these older STP students were young, wide-eyed, and not-quite-so sure-about-performing.

The benefit of these Stars Youth Theatre Group camps is that the older students can model and teach the younger aspiring actresses and actors about stage directions and stage presence.

After the “Shrek, Jr. The Musical” weekend, life at The Soo Theatre Project continues its very active summer schedule of lessons, camps, events, concerts, and performances!
