“Dare To Dream” is the culmination of a year’s worth of work for the many Soo Theatre Project’s STARS dancers. Practice after practice with teachers Jenna Perry, Kim Jodoin, and Billie Sams, week after week, and plié after plié, these dancers are ready to perform for the public to enjoy.
“Dare To Dream” is the creation of the talented Ashley Corbiere, owner of Allure Dance Company, director of this event on June 1, and choreographer of most of the dance pieces. Teachers Jenna Perry and Kim Jodoin also choreographed dance pieces.
“Dare To Dream” is the result of dedicated parents providing quality dance instruction for their children. These parents understand the importance of developing poise, balance, and physical stamina through dance expression at The Soo Theatre Project.
“Dare To Dream” is much more than a dance show. It is the summation of the hopes, ideas, visions, and aspirations of young dancers. Come and share in the delight on Sunday, June 1 at the LSSU Fine Arts Building as dancers of The Soo Theatre Project’s STARS program perform for you their dancing dreams.
Synopsis: “Dare To Dream” presents the events of a dancer when she retires for the evening and her day’s events literally become her nighttime dreams. Choreographers Ashley Corbiere, Jenna Perry, and Kim Jodoin masterfully transform the young girl’s day in nocturnal visions.
What would a girl experience during her day, which would enter her night’s sleep? Shopping, music, dance practice, an exciting upcoming community event, and more, of course! Explore the dancer’s dreams, and thereby her day as well, through the dance expression of all of The Soo Theatre Project’s STARS dancers.
“Dare To Dream” will be presented on Sunday, June 1 at 3 pm at the LSSU Fine Arts Building. For more information, please see the printed flyer, Soo Theatre Project on Facebook, www.sootheatre.org, or call 906-632-1930906-632-1930.
