Emily Misch has been praised by Opera News for her “stratospheric coloratura with scintillating precision” while the Times Argus has called her soprano voice “brilliant and virtuosic.” Her 2023-24 season includes Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute at Arizona Opera and Annapolis Opera. Other recent highlights include Queen of the Night with The Glimmerglass Festival, Musetta in La bohème with Newport Classical, Carmina Burana with the Cincinnati Ballet and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Handel’s Messiah with Naples Philharmonic, and a soloist appearance in Berg’s Wozzeck with Boston Symphony Orchestra.

She has performed Florestine in The Ghosts of Versailles with the Glimmerglass Festival, a role she reprised with Château de Versailles Spectacles in France for her European debut, Madame Goldentrill in The Impresario with Syracuse Opera, Zamira in American Lyric Theater’s workshop of Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Fallen Giant, and Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann and Ruth Bader Ginsburg in Scalia/Ginsburg with Opera North. 

A 2018 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions Grand Finalist, Emily has also been awarded prizes from the Schuyler Foundation for Career Bridges, the Gerda Lissner Foundation, Mannes College, and Yale University, and has participated in young artist training programs at Wolf Trap Opera Company, Opera North (NH), and Opera on the Avalon. She received a BA in Music from Yale University, where she graduated magna cum laude.
