Soo Youth Orchestra and strings program, under the direction of Dottie Case and Maggie Twining will present a spring concert on Monday, May 17 at 7:00pm on the historic Soo Theatre Stage.
This concert will start by showcasing students who have been playing stringed instruments for less than a year on Boil them Cabbages Down, A Mozart Melody, and French Folk Song.
This will be followed by three levels of youth orchestra (early, intermediate, and advanced) to share classical favorites with family and friends. Students who have been playing a stringed instrument for a year or more are encouraged to participate in the youth orchestra at the Soo Theatre.
Orchestra selections include American Square Dance Set, Civil War Echoes, Pastoral Symphony, and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik.
